Highlights Of Spain & Portugal
Overall the tour was amazing. The leader Emilliano was interesting, inclusive and entertaining. The itinerary was comprehensive without being overwhelming and the guides were very knowledgeable.
I did strike and issue when the woman I was sharing a room with was ill on my first night and continued to be quite ill for the next 4 days with a contagious cough and fever. I opted to stay in another room so as not to become ill myself and will be contacting the company to see if there is any compensation for this as I did end up paying for 2 rooms for 4 nights of the trip. If you were willing to contact them on my behalf I would appreciate this also.

Rome To Amsterdam
This is the tour to see the maximum of Europe in one trip! Rome, Venice, Amsterdam are must-see destinations, but the incredible Jungfraujoch day in the Alps and the visits to Swiss and southern German towns were equally delightful.

Tour leader was really into himself and talked constantly over p.a. about his world travels and family. Tour was not geared for people 50+ as advertised. Lots of stairs.

Wonderful new addition
Great new country and addition by Expat. One of the most interesting and beautiful countries I've ever been. Great food, scenery and lovely people.

Egypt & Jordan Jewel With 5* Nile Boat Cruise
The tour was in 2 parts. Excellent historical visits each time. Egypt guide Peter gave full itinerary details and guide talks. Was always friendly and helpful and went beyond expectations.
The Jordan guide Sam expected us to know itinerary in full and was exasperated and unhappy when asked questions. Treated us like cattle and seriously failed to keep his calm and exploded when under pressure. Terrible experience to witness. Tour visits good however.

The tour-leader, Dragana, was beyond exceptional !! Her customer focus and attention to detail were superb.
I was very frustrated with the administrative side of things from tour hub and Expat. Repeatedly there were instances where I emailed you guys 2 and 3 times trying to get a response which was extremely frustrating. Not sure I would use you again were it not for other people on the trip who said Ex Pat was a good a company.

Our tour guide Ramez totally made this trip! He was amazing and always checking in, and very accommodating. Egypt is an absolute must see. This trip happened during the war in Iran and I as an American never felt in danger or worried. Ramez made sure we felt safe and updated us with things to know to stay safe everywhere. Mostly just from hagglers and scams, which is just part of the life there. Just be ready for it and see it as part of the culture and be able to firmly say no. My sister and I had a wonderful time and got to see so many mind blowing places. Highly recommend!! All of the people loved to share their stories and life’s with us. Don’t let others scare you from coming here, just be prepared to deal with hagglers.

Everything I had expected and more
It was my first time traveling to Europe so I was nervous about everything including finding my way around, speaking the languages, and finding lodging. It turned out to be an incredible experience, I couldn't ask for a better your guide. Luke truly is the best in the business and we were so lucky o have him on the last tour of the season. I am definitely going to recommend Expat to my family and friends when they want to travel to Europe. I am going to go as far as finding out when Luke will be the guide and have family/friends specifically book the tour with him.

Outstanding!
From orientation to farewell dinner Martina was always there to ensure that everyone was happy and enjoying the tour! It was fast paced, especially with the added excursions, but the tour covered the best of Italy and Martina was absolutely the best. She was entertaining and informative. Look forward to another tour with her!!

Egypt & Jordan Jewel With 5* Nile Boat Cruise
Not good the cruise ship was definably not 5 star as advertised. The was no drink facilities in the cabin, had to move cabins due to fumes, once moved to the cabin opposite the wash basin was cracked the window would not open and the carpets was putrid overall the ship need a refurnish. People had little to no responses from the tour company and then when the military problem arose, they never bothered to contact us to offer advice or to check if all was ok. Booked this tour and ended up as part of ExPat tour.

This tour was a great experience as a first time to Egypt. It was a good pace and loved learning about the pyramids & museum. The history telling by tour guide Nabil aka TIGER was excellent. I am so glad I came out to complete my bucket. Just a note not all meals are there are some dinners meals you have to pay out of pocket.
Breakfast is provided at hotel stay. The Nile cruise all meals are included and 2 night stay at great resort in Hurgada is all inclusive. I would highly recommend this tour as it is reasonable in cost and a great way to see alot of history with in the days required.

Ultimate Europe
I was very disappointed with our tour guide Tim, he was paying more attention to the people that bought the extra packages, and no only that I was walking with hiking poles because I have difficulty walking fast; I had to talk to him several times to consider me and slow down the pace; I can walk but he was walking that fast than I had to struggle to catch up to the group; to the point that I felt a couple times in Florence and thank you to some of the gentlemen travelling with me, that had the patience to always wait for me but Tim didn’t care to the point to not even ask how I was and othe people in the tour noticed his attitude; there was a point that I decided no to do tours with the group and his response was you can catch a uber.

Perfect combination of sites, history, culture and food
The highlights of Japan tour with Expat Explore was the ideal way to see the country. It had the perfect mix of big cities, small quaint villages, historical sites and food! The tour was well organised and a good pace to enjoy the various places and activities. We had the opportunity to be immersed in local culture and try the cuisine in a range of dining experiences. The hotels were clean and roomy to rest for days filled with adventures. Japan with Expat should be on your wish list!

Italian Delights
Our Italian Delight tour was absolutely amazing! Roma, our tour leader was beyond wonderful! She kept everyone on track, made all expectations very clear, kept us all informed of upcoming cities complete with oodles of history. The other people on the tour were just super sweet, lovely, and friendly. Our tour of 47 passengers was truly incredible mix of people from various backgrounds, ages, and religions. We really were so pleased with learning about the history of Italy. My most favorite part of the tour was seeing Venice, and Florence. The gondola rides met all my expectations and more! We even witnessed a young couple being serenaded by an opera singer complete with accordian player. Watching the glassblower in Venice was just utterly captivating! Seeing the older ladies making lace was just incredible! Of course all our meals together with the group were the best! Riding the trains was a true experience, but watch out for the pickpockets! All in all, we just loved Roma and her version of Italian history come alive. Kudos to you Roma and to Tourhub!

This was my third eXpat tour. My first tour was Spain and Portugal which I rated a 9/10, my second tour was Turkey which was a 10/10 and this tour I can’t give a score.
It was a very long tour at 18 days so it is not for the faint of heart. I averaged 15,000 steps a day, and the pace was very frantic.
There were a number of disappointments on this tour, namely.;
1. No Wi-Fi on the bus. In 2026 that is unacceptable. The bus was an eXpat branded bus. The seats were a hard as granite and the seatbelts dug into everyone’s thighs.
2. Filthy bus windows. In the 18 days we were on that bus the driver cleaned the windows once. This may seem like a petty feedback however when the photo memories you are taking clearly show you’re pointing your camera through a dirty window, they’re the not nice memories that they should be.
3. Toilet. There was a toilet on the bus and unfortunately we also had a lot of very heavy drinkers who could not wait 90 - 120 minutes between toilet stops. The toilet was emptied once during the 18 days. And even then it was only after the bus absolutely reeked like a sewer every time that toilet door was open. My advice to all the men out there who are thinking of going on this tour is that if you are unable to hold your bladder for two hours this is not the tour for you.
4. Barcelona. The hotel was a very long way from the city and on my free day I had to catch a bus and then a train into the city and do the same on the way back. The bus dropped me 3 km from the hotel and I was not able to get an Uber or a taxi because drivers won’t go to that area.
5. Pisa. The tour spent 45 minutes in Pisa which was barely time to see anything.
6. Florence. Buses are no longer able to get close to Florence. The group was dropped off across the river and did a 35 minute walk into town. We were given very limited time to see Florence and I felt for those who had not been to that city before who had no idea where anything was and some people actually missed out on seeing major attractions. We then had to walk another 35 minutes back to the bus and that was another night when we got back to the hotel after 10 pm. Factor into the 35 minute walk each way that is 70 minutes less that you have to see the city.
7. Rome. Rome consisted of a three hour guided walking tour. That day broke many in the group and ruined the next day which was a free day because there were some people who were literally unable to walk the next day.
Positives.
1. Venice. The hotel was well situated to use public transport to get in and out of the islands of Venice. When we arrived in Venice, we went for a boat ride around the islands at night. It was very nice. It was after 8 pm again it was a very long day and we got back to our hotel at about 11 pm.
2. Switzerland. Accommodation was a beautiful chalet. We are finally back in clean air in Switzerland and the environment was just beautiful.
3. Lunch stops that were not highway fuel stations or cafeterias. Some lunch stops were in beautiful towns such as Sète and Hoppen (chefs kiss).
4. Included dinners. Most days were between 12 - 14 hours and the included dinners, approximately every other day, were very welcome. Most restaurant meals were quite good.
I had been to most places on this tour prior to going on this tour. My observation is that European hotspots continue to overflow with tourists making them difficult to enjoy. My strong advice would be to book 2 small tours with a break in between because 18 days is a little bit too long, and leaves a little time to recuperate from the really long gruelling days.

Tour was excellent and well led by a great tour guide and driver. Beautiful countries explored. Very fast paced and a LOT of walking. Lots of early starts and late finishes so not much downtime. Overall a great sampler for another visit to your favourite places.

My partner and I really enjoyed the tour. We felt the tour was well laid out, good hotels except for Vilnius, good group meals and good destinations. The tour leader,Emma was wonderful, answered all off our question, fixed any small issues that popped up, was very approachable and friendly - could not have had a better tour leader, Our driver, Bogdan was also wonderful, very friendly and did a great job in getting us to our destinations.
Our only negative issue was that we were not used to travelling with such a large group ( we usually travel in 12-16 person tours) and we seemed to be waiting for the slow people a lot of times.
Look forward to travelling with Expat again in the future.

Great tour as a taster for the UK & Ireland. Beautiful scenery, however I could have spent longer, so I guess that just means I have to come back again. It is fast paced do make sure you are match ready. Big days and late nights.

We have a wonderful time with our tour guide Gerry and bus driver Matco who drove us around to see some of the special spots.
Disappointed
Totally exhausted
I need a holiday to recover from this full-on, insufficient down time, tour. Late hotel arrivals, late city tours, late dinners and excessive walking due to public transport use and then early morning starts. And to top it off, no seat rotation (tour leader advised on day 2 for covid reasons) which made sense on day 2 but not by day 3 or 4 when we had been grouped together at meals, on walking tours, and sharing rooms with people we had just met...merrily spreading our germs between our group anyway! This seating rule however was waived for a special few...those who insisted that they get travel sickness (and must sit in the front seat) and..those who think the rule is not for them and aren't challenged by the tour leader anyway. No seat rotation also meant not getting the opportunity to get to know everyone on the tour on an equal basis.

A very good tour at a reasonable price, the guide (Wilhelm) was very knowledgeable and really made the trip enjoyable, we saw so much, learnt a lot and really enjoyed the trip and the great company.

We had a wonderful tour. The itinerary and schedule were great. I was disappointed in Pamplona (nothing special), Ronda (way too crowded and we couldn’t get a good view of the bridge), and Sintra (way too crowded) and the Pena Palace (not worth the effort in my opinion and again, very crowded). The hotels were very inconsistent ranging from Eurostars Peurta Madrid which was fantastic down tobB&B Hotels in Madrid which was the worst. Our tour guide was fantastic despite having a very loud and disrespectful group from the US on the second leg.

Egypt & Jordan Jewel With 5* Nile Boat Cruise
Fascinating tour that gives an excellent feel for both ancient and modern Egypt. Ramez our guide was informative and passionate about the history of ancient Egypt. Unfortunately didn't get to go to Jordan because of the current troubles in the Middle East but that had no effect on Egypt which was fine with no issues. Snorkeling in the Red Sea is great and relaxing after seeing all the tombs and temples. Lovely food and plenty of it!

Central Europe In Low Season
The Central Europe trip was fabulous! In 9 days of sightseeing, we visited 4 countries and 12 cities! Included at the sites were magnificent basilicas, remarkable architecture, serene countryside and splendid castles. The hotels were great offering delicious breakfasts and some evenings included local cuisine dinners at charming restaurants. The adventure was filled with memories to treasure!

I think Expat Explorer did an awesome job. Would definitely travel with them again. I found that the communication I received from Tourhub was lacking. You answered most of my questions before our trip, but as we got down to the wire I had to beg for an itinerary and the one you sent was incomplete. I would book direct next time not do a third party

Such a great trip and saw so many places, if we did this trip on our own I think we would only get half of what we did done in this time period. It definitely was busy with not much down time but we didn’t pay to go be bored. Beautiful and memorable trip!

Italian Delights - 12 Days
The tour is good, but choices of hotels horrible. The guide was fantastic but the choice of hotels a disappointment. While in Rome we stayed at a hotel that had their air conditioning locked out, and required I go down the the front desk to request it be fixed, and all he did was tap a couple keys on the computer, and the room started to cool. Needless to say, I didn’t sleep that night, as I was laying in a pool of sweat. Then again the next nights, in Salerno, at the Grand Hotel Salerno, the same thing. The lobby was frigid, but the top. Was boiling hot. I tried opening the windows, but they don’t really open and when I rigged it to stay open, the air does not cool down the room, because the design, there is no air flow. Imagine staying on the beach, with a view of the back of the hotel cold outside, but hot in the room with zero flow and hotel staff that just doesn’t care to help, because we are crazy. I showed the man at the counter the sweat in my arms and face but he just said the air condition is broken but that can’t move my room until the morning because he doesn’t know how to.
The sites are fantastic but you would be better sleeping outside, where you can keep cool instead of the saunas they call a room at these hotels the tour books us on.

Expat was great. I booked with tour hub and paid for my wife and I. We asked to be on the trip with James Wades and Donna Southwell. Somehow tour hub sent to expat putting Jsmes and Glenn in one room and Donna and my wife Susan in a separate room. Of course i was able to stay with my wife, but we had twin beds instead of double beds due to the booking mess up. My wife and I have the same last name and paid together early, so I don’t know why tour hub did not send expat my wife and I as a couple.

This was my first group tour, and hopefully not my last. The people I was with were good easy going, for the most part part. Our guide Marysol was very knowledgeable and an amazing lady. The information she gave was awesome! I found her a little too ‘giddy’ and silly for my liking. I think she likes being the leader, person in control personality. She used the microphone in a silly, laughable kind of way. She would laugh into the microphone when she didn’t need too. A lot iof people found her adorable for these quirks, but I didn’t. Aside from my criticism, she was very knowledgeable and handled every situation in a calm professional manner. I could talk to her one on one and she was so nice to talk with. As far as the the places visited, I felt rushed. I know the places we visited and some of those places more time is needed to enjoy and experience. A lot more time could have been spent in Madrid for example. To be able to spend 2 nights in some of the more interesting places we visited would be have been nice. Some places of interest we barely visited and boom it was time to go. As far as group meals we had, the quality in Malaga was not very good. The quality of the evening was cheap on behalf of Tourhub and Expat Tours. The group meal in Seville left a lot to be desired. The Paella we had was of poor quality as well. The rice wasn’t cooked correctly, it was crunchy. That’s incredible that a country known for this dish could prepare it so poorly! Thank God most of the breakfasts were of good quality. I benefited greatly from the price of the tour. It’s economical benefits are advantageous for me. I think I benefited greatly from this particular tour. I’m not sure how it could be much better except for listening to this guide’s silliness in leading the tour. I might try another company and see how it compares to Tourhub and Expat

I did the 9 day tour with Peter as our guide, he was very good. He were a group of 13 and gelled well. I'm 80 so a big blow but managed it all with help from the group over rough ground etc. We covered a lot of ground had many very early starts and it was exhausting but enjoyable. My favourite part was the 3 day Nile cruise as we got to relax a bit but still saw the scenery and the food was very good.
